It’s a game with major Big Ten East implications, and Ohio State head man Urban Meyer previewed that kickoff against Michigan State on his weekly show on The Fan. Among the specific topics he covered…

•Buckeyes need to bounce back from loss  “You get hit right in the jaw, you gotta get going as hard as you can…fix the errors and let’s go!”

•Praised All-American Center Billy Price  “He just does everything right.  He’ll have a long career even outside of football because of the way he set himself up.”

•Brian Lewerke’s passing has changed Michigan State’s offense  “Starting the season, they tried to establish the run.  It’s almost like the last two games they abandoned it.  It’s a much different identity than they’ve been.

•OSU must count on their receivers in this game  “Michigan State’s style of defense is they force you to take it over -the-top quite often so this will be a great challenge for them.”

•K.J. Hill has filled in well for the injured Parris Campbell  “Maybe not as flashy as Parris because he’s not as fast but he has excellent ball skills and understands defenses.”

•Tyquan Lewis has become a team leader  “He’s a grown man and that’s one of the greatest compliments you can have around here.  He sets a standard and is a guy you love being around.”

•Michigan State recruits Ohio well  “They do a great job of identifying the guy who’s under the radar.”

•Larry Johnson was nominated for the Frank Broyles Award  “Great respect for him…very well-deserved.  He doesn’t just coach people, he invests in them.  Players appreciate that.”
