Blue Jackets Make Flurry of Moves at the Trade Deadline

The Columbus Blue Jackets made 4 trades before Monday’s NHL Trade Deadline.

On Sunday, the Blue Jackets added Mark Letestu from Nashville for a 2018 Fourth Round Pick.

On trade deadline day the Blue Jackets made 3 deals.

The first move of the day came when the Blue Jackets added Senators defenseman Ian Cole, formerly of the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Blue Jackets traded away a 2020 third round pick and Minor League Forward Nick Moutrey.

The second move came in the form of a Minor League trade when the CBJ added Ryan Kujawinski from the Arizona Coyotes for Center Jordan Maletta, Kujawinski was added to the Cleveland Monsters roster.

The final move the Blue Jackets made was minutes before the 3 pm deadline when the Jackets made a move for Forward Thomas Vanek. Vanek comes over from Vancouver in exchange for Jussi Jokinen and Tyler Motte.
