Cris Carter pushes OSU fan's buttons
The Buckeyes did everything they were able to do....win every game on the 2012 schedule. Unfortunately the road ends at 12-0 without a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game or a shot to contend for a BCS National Championship.
But every Buckeye fan from here to Timbuktu seems to have an idea about how Ohio State would fare against the other top teams in the nation this year. And former Buckeye wide receiver and NFL great Cris Carter was on Mike and Mike in the Morning on Tuesday and he doesn't like OSU's hopes.
"They are not ready for the big time yet," Carter said. " I'm kind of glad they have some sanctions because they would get hurt in a national championship game."
Ouch. Take that.
He did make up for it by patting head coach Urban Meyer on the back.
"Urban's a good coach, he was my wide receiver coach when I was at Ohio State. He's a good friend of mine. We're in good shape. When you have a program like that and you get the head man right, the program will come back around."
That makes you stop and think how long Meyer has been around, and he's only 48. That was 1987 when Meyer coached the receivers at OSU.
If you agree or disagree with Carter, just remember he's an analyst and he's paid to give his opinions.
