It might have come as a surprise to some Buckeye fans to look up and see one of their prized recruits making another official visit after he already committed to the Buckeyes. Trey Johnson, even as a freshman, could be a crucial addition to a depleted Ohio State front seven. Urban Meyer and the rest of his staff hope to lock in him and the rest of the 2013 class on February 6th, also known as National Signing Day.

But Johnson's visit to Knoxville, Tenn. over the weekend was apparently nothing more than an opportunity to enjoy a nice weekend. For those of us that have never been on them, recruiting trips can often be nice things. You get food, lodging, a guided tour, and who knows what else gets thrown in.

Brad Bournival of ESPN.com spoke to Johnson's coach and he confirmed that his player is still solid on the Buckeyes:

“Things are exactly where they were before when he committed to them,” said Johnson’s coach Todd Wofford. “He’s going to be a Buckeye on signing day.”

Wofford also said that Luke Fickell and Everett Withers were coming back down to Georiga to meet with Johnson again this weekend. So all is good. It was just a high school senior enjoying himself. I'm sure Tennessee's staff loves hearing that.
