Browns bosses were left impressed by Chudzinski

BEREA, Ohio — When Rob Chudzinski answered the phone earlier this week and heard Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam ask him to interview for the coaching vacancy, he decided he was going to become the team’s next coach.

Chudzinski, 44, interviewed for three openings last season — with Jacksonville, St. Louis and Tampa Bay — and none of them panned out. This time, he was going to fulfill a lifelong dream of bringing the Browns back to heart-thumping excitement and playoff euphoria.
