Arkansas 80, No. 2 Florida 69: Arkansas finally gave second-year coach Mike Anderson a signature victory. BJ Young led three players in double figures with 13 points as the host Razorbacks opened quickly and never let up in a shocking victory over Florida last night.
The Razorbacks (14-8, 5-4 Southeastern Conference) improved to 14-1 at home this season, and the Gators’ loss ended their 10-game winning streak. Arkansas opened the game 15 of 20 from the field.
Michael Qualls and Marshawn Powell added 11 points each, and all 11 players scored for the Razorbacks. It was their first victory over a top-10 team since early in the 2008-09 season.
Mike Rosario led Florida (18-3, 8-1) with 15 points, and Scottie Wilbekin had 14. After trailing by as many as 23 points in the first half, the Gators cut the deficit to 43-26 at halftime.
No. 8 University of Miami 72, Boston College 50: Rion Brown tied a career high with 22 points for host Miami (18-3, 9-0 Atlantic Coast Conference), which has won 10 straight. Boston College (10-12, 2-7) lost to Miami for the second time in three weeks, and for the sixth straight time.
No. 13 Kansas State 68, Texas Tech 59: Rodney McGruder had 18 points for visiting Kansas State (18-4, 7-2 Big 12), which won its third straight game. Joran Tolbert had 19 points for Texas Tech (9-11, 2-7).
Akron 68, Central Michigan 56: Alex Abreu had 15 points as host Akron (18-4, 9-0 Mid-American Conference) extended the nation’s longest active winning streak to 14 games.

Purdue 58, Penn State 49: Ronnie Johnson scored 16 points for visiting Purdue (12-11, 5-5). Penn State is 8-14, 0-10.
