Clippers 4, RailRiders 1: Carrasco hit by liner in victory

High Contrast Normal Version

The Clippers defeated host Scranton/Wilkes Barre 4-1 last night at PNC Field, but lost starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco to an injury.

Carrasco allowed five hits and struck out four in 42/3 innings before being struck by a line drive. Carrasco walked off the field, but his injury was not disclosed.

Tim Fedroff, Matt Lawson and Matt Carson drove in runs for the Clippers.

After taking a 4-0 lead into the ninth inning, Rob Bryson gave up a homer to Austin Romine. A walk and a base hit allowed the RailRiders to bring the tying run to the plate with two outs, but Preston Guilmet recorded the final out for his seventh save.
