College football: Texas A&M stadium to be SEC’s largest

High Contrast Normal Version

Texas A&M’s Kyle Field will become the largest stadium in the Southeastern Conference after university regents approved a $450 million redevelopment plan, which will begin after the 2013 season.

The capacity will increase from 82,589 to 102,500 when the expansion is completed for the 2015 season, making it larger than Tennessee’s Neyland Stadium (102,455). The upgrades will include suites and premium seating, and will be paid for by donations, seat licenses, student fees and tickets and tax revenue.
