The Ohio State men’s basketball team will play Michigan, Northwestern, Indiana and Wisconsin only once during the 2013-14 Big Ten season, according to an athletic department spokesman. The games against Michigan and Northwestern will be at home; the others on the road.

Games that have been reported to be on the Buckeyes’ nonconference schedule are against Maryland, Bryant, Delaware and North Dakota State at home, Notre Dame in New York and Marquette in Milwaukee.

• Ohio State named Melissa Schaub its women’s tennis coach. Schaub was the interim coach during the 2012-13 season after Chuck Merzbacher left to coach at Minnesota. Schaub, a Lexington, Ohio, native, joined Ohio State’s staff as an assistant coach for the 2011-12 season and previously spent five seasons at Middle Tennessee State, serving as the coach in her final season.
