Zach McAllister pitched six scoreless innings in his second rehab appearance, and the Clippers defeated the Lehigh Valley IronPigs 3-2 last night at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, Pa.

McAllister, who has been on the Cleveland Indians’ disabled list since June 8 because of a sprained right middle finger, allowed two hits and two walks while striking out two. Danny Salazar made his first relief appearance of the season and earned his first save despite giving up two runs and four hits over three innings. Salazar also struck out four.

The Clippers took a 1-0 lead in the third when Ezequiel Carrera’s sacrifice fly scored Roberto Perez, who had doubled with one out and advanced to third on an error.

Ryan Rohlinger’s RBI single in the fifth made it 2-0. Rohlinger, who had two hits, scored in the eighth on a single by Tim Fedroff. Fedroff also had two hits.

The IronPigs cut their deficit to one on a Pete Orr home run and an RBI infield single by Cesar Hernandez.

Salazar allowed a lead-off single in the ninth, but he got Josh Fields to ground into a double play and then struck out Leandro Castro to end the game.
