Men's basketball: Ohio State's Della Valle named MVP at tournament

Amedeo Della Valle, who will be a sophomore at Ohio State next season, scored 13 of his team-high 19 points in the final five minutes to lead Italy to a 67-60 win over Latvia and the gold medal in the under-20 European championship in Tallinn, Estonia.

Della Valle, who made three three-pointers and scored 17 points in the fourth quarter, was named the most valuable player of the tournament. He averaged 13 points in 10 games and shot 41.4 percent from the field, including 37.2 from three-point range.
