Indians: Three tough series won’t settle season
The Cleveland Indians’ next nine games have been described as “make or break” for the team’s postseason hopes, but that might be an exaggeration.
Tonight, the Tribe begins a three-game series in Atlanta against the Braves, the runaway leaders of the National League East. After that comes a three-game set in Comerica Park with the dreaded Detroit Tigers, who not only lead the American League Central but also have won 13 of 16 against Cleveland.
The Indians return home next week for three games against the Baltimore Orioles, who also are battling for the second wild-card spot.
