BALTIMORE — The Cincinnati Bengals stayed at the same hotel being used by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, which is holding meetings in Baltimore.

That turned out to be of great benefit for coach Marvin Lewis’ team, which needed every ounce of divine intervention to force yesterday’s game into overtime.

However, their petitions and prayers for victory went unanswered as the Ravens went on to win in overtime 20-17.
