College football: Columbus man accuses Michigan's Taylor Lewan of assault

High Contrast Normal Version

A 29-year-old Columbus resident has accused Michigan offensive lineman Taylor Lewan of punching him in the early morning hours after the Ohio State-Michigan football game on Nov. 30 in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Ryan Munsch of the North Side said Lewan punched him in the face without provocation outside the Little Brown Jug restaurant, and then punched him in the midsection as he was talking to two women who had asked him if he was OK.

The Ann Arbor Police Department could not be reached for comment. Bucknuts, an OSU fan website, reported that Sgt. Mike Scherba said police would have no comment because the alleged incident is under investigation.
