Ohio 58, Eastern Michigan 56: Javarez Willis made a three-pointer with 28 seconds to play and Ohio University (14-5, 4-2) rallied for a Mid-American Conference victory over host Eastern Michigan (11-8, 3-3) yesterday.

Ohio (14-5, 4-2) trailed the entire game before Willis’ basket, which capped a 12-0 run.

Stevie Taylor of Gahanna led the Bobcats with 14 points. Nick Kellogg of DeSales and Willis added 12 apiece.

 

Miami 70, Bowling Green 65: Willie Moore and Will Sullivan scored 16 points apiece and Miami University (8-9, 4-2 MAC) beat host Bowling Green (9-10, 3-3).

Akron 82, Central Michigan 74: Quincy Diggs scored 19 points and had four steals as Akron (13-6, 5-1 MAC) beat host Central Michigan (7-11, 0-6).

Providence 81, Xavier 72: Bryce Cotton finished with 25 points, LaDontae Henton had 23 points and 11 rebounds and host Providence (15-5, 5-2) held off Xavier (15-5, 5-2) for its fifth straight Big East win.

Rhode Island 88, Dayton 76: Xavier Munford scored 27 points and host Rhode Island (11-10, 2-4 Atlantic 10) shot better from the field (62.5 percent) than the free-throw line (57.5) to defeat Dayton (13-7, 1-4).

Cleveland State 69, Valparaiso 50: Trey Lewis scored 17 points and host Cleveland State (13-9, 5-3 Horizon League) rolled past Valparaiso (12-10, 4-3).

Capital 73, Baldwin Wallace 69: Curt Geise scored a career-high 27 points, including two free throws with 2.1 seconds to play, to lead host Capital (8-9, 5-5) over Baldwin Wallace (9-8, 5-5) in an Ohio Athletic Conference game.

Otterbein 80, Muskingum 75: Matt Rhodes scored 17 points and Jake Bischoff 14 to lead host Otterbein (4-13, 3-7 OAC) over Muskingum 7-10, 2-8).

Ohio Wesleyan 83, Denison 75: Claude Gray scored 22 points to help Ohio Wesleyan (14-3, 8-2) defeat Denison (8-9, 4-6) in a North Coast Athletic Conference game for its fourth straight win.

Malone 84, Ohio Dominican 74: Brandon Carr scored a career-high 18 points for Ohio Dominican (4-12, 2-10), but host Malone (9-7, 7-5) shot 68.8 percent from the field in the first half to take control early in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game.
