LaQuinton Ross will forgo his final year of eligibility at Ohio State and make himself available for the NBA draft, the OSU athletics department announced today.

Ross, a 6-foot-8 forward from Jackson, Miss., was the Buckeyes’ leading scorer (15.2 points per game) and rebounder (5.9) this past season, which ended last week with a second-round loss to Dayton in the NCAA tournament.

Ohio State finished the season with a 25-10 record.

Ross is projected by Chad Ford of ESPN.com to be selected between 25th and 40th in draft, which will be June 26th. But that could change after Ross begins training full-time and working out for NBA teams.
