Ohio State men's basketball: Aaron Craft gets honor

High Contrast Normal Version

Ohio State senior Aaron Craft was named the defensive player of the year in men’s college basketball by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He will receive the award at the NABC awards show on Sunday night in Dallas, close to where the Final Four is being held in Arlington, Texas.

Craft is the second Ohio State player — the other was Greg Oden in 2007 — to be voted the award by the coaches’ association.

In other awards, Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall was named coach of the year and Creighton’s Doug McDermott player of the year by the Associated Press.
