Indians 3, Tigers 2: McAllister, Gomes key to taming Detroit

DETROIT — On a cold night at Comerica Park, Zach McAllister continued his hot pitching against a team he has seldom pitched well against.

McAllister allowed one run in six innings last night to lead the Indians to a 3-2 victory over the Tigers. In his last two starts, McAllister has allowed one run in 132/3 innings with 10 strikeouts and two walks.

“McAllister did a great job against a great lineup,” manager Terry Francona said. “He really used his fastball well in the early going.”
