Despite injuries, team in thick of NL Central race

Given the injuries and how the season started, the Reds were pleased to go to the All-Star break.

They beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-3 yesterday before a crowd of 35,022 at Great American Ball Park. It was the Reds’ third straight series win and their eighth in the last nine. Now, they have four days off.
