Seven-foot-1 freshman center Trayvon Reed is no longer on the Maryland men’s basketball team and will not enroll at the school, officials said.

Reed was arrested on Wednesday night in College Park, Md., and charged with four counts, including two of second-degree assault. One of those charges includes second-degree assault of a police officer.

Reed, who committed to the Terps last August, was rated the eighth-best center in the country by ESPN last year.

• UCLA says it will replace the floor of Pauley Pavilion, which was flooded by a 20 million-gallon water-main leak this week.

Athletic Director Dan Guerrero said that the entire wood floor of the famed court will be replaced by the end of October and no regular season basketball games will be affected.
