Major college football is an intense environment for the coaches and players, but even in that realm there are levels. Just ask Tony Alford. In February, he left Notre Dame for Ohio State as running backs coach when Urban Meyer beckoned. What he found immediately in his new work environment was an intensity at a higher level, ratcheted by Meyer.
