It's not an understatement to say that Jim Cleamons has experienced almost everything when you're talking about basketball. He's coached and played at the highest level in the world and his career in the game has spanned 7 decades. SEVEN decades. He played for the great Fred Taylor. He played with West, Baylor and Wilt. He played for the Cavs. He coached Jordan, Pippen, Shaq and Kobe, and so many others. And now he's coaching in the upcoming HBCU Classic for Columbus at Nationwide Arena on April 23. It's a wonderful event with a goal to generate the funds needed to run these fine institutions. Jim will be coaching the Ohio All-Stars, who will take on the HBCU All Stars in the event. We hit an array of topics in this pod, from when his love of the game was born, to playing for the Lakers, to his practice battles with Jerry West, being traded to the Cavs, the importance of HBCUs and more. Enjoy it hoops fans.
